ABOUT

Individuals, small businesses. and nonprofits come to Attorney Kohl because he provides high quality, individualized legal services at an affordable price. Raised as a “midwestern farm kid,” he brings a no-nonsense, straightforward, practical approach to legal issues.

Attorney Kohl began his legal career in competitive judicial clerkships at the Connecticut Superior Court in New London and the Connecticut Appellate Court. He worked alongside judges on complex legal issues touching on many areas of his current practice including land use, property law, contracts, litigation, and more. He then spent several years working at well-regarded, local and regional firms in Connecticut.

During this time, he recognized many in the area were in need of legal assistance with property and land use matters, but were unable to find or afford representation. He founded Kohl Law Firm, PLLC to address this need while continuing to serve non-profit and faith-based organizations in the area. He is committed to serving his clients with excellence, integrity, and balance; providing top-notch legal representation at an affordable price.

Attorney Kohl serves on the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut and is active in his local Episcopal church. He also serves as a volunteer Tee Ball coach with the New London Little League. When not working for his clients, Attorney Kohl enjoys spending time with his family at their home in New London and playing vintage base ball as a member of the Thames Base Ball Club, also in New London.

Attorney Kohl is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Connecticut.
